A day after L-G V K Saxena’s intervention, the Education Department has put the order to transfer nearly 5,000 teachers of Delhi government schools in abeyance.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had called the transfer orders a “conspiracy” by the BJP to stall work in schools.
At a press conference Monday, Education Minister Atishi said, “Our dispensation in Delhi has transformed government schools in the last 10 years. The results of students here have set records. The BJP could not digest this change and a conspiracy was hatched to transfer teachers to ruin this education revolution.”
